Healthy Lifestyle
Even a small change makes a difference
Eating a wide variety of nutritious foods is the best thing you can do for your health. Eating well does matter. It lets you get more out of life, have more energy, feel better and live longer (the statistical evidence is overwhelming!). A healthy lifestyle through regular physical activity and healthy eating can:
- make you more energetic
- reduce the chances of serious heart diseases and strokes
- reduce the chances of diabetes
- keep our bones strong and healthy (reduce the chances of osteoporosis)
- ensures protection from infections
- maintain a solid foundation for enjoying life
This isn’t new news, but it is tricky to start and even trickier to maintain it.
That is where an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist comes in. They have the experience and practical knowledge in making the kind of changes that are achievable and sustainable and even enjoyable to adopt. And dietitians are used to people with a sweet tooth or are very fussy with their food tastes.
Our recommendations are tailored to the individual and based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines. While healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle is important at all junctures of your life, advice from an Accredited Practising Dietitian is most important when your body is going through change – children and adolescents, pregnant and breastfeeding Mums and the elderly.
So whatever your age and your current eating habits, let a dietitian help you to a healthier life and healthy lifestyle – a healthier you.
